Changes in policy can move slowly, but public opinion can change overnight. For ideas to take root, they need to appeal to people’s hearts as well as minds.
Having solutions to the world’s greatest challenges isn’t enough; IISD has to get these solutions out into the world in a way that prompts dialogue, action, and lasting change.
To do this, we focus on expanding and deepening our reach, collaborating with new partners, and challenging the status quo.
This includes engaging the Canadian public on the importance of freshwater sustainability; extending the reach and impact of the world-renowned Earth Negotiations Bulletin; and empowering communities to define and track progress toward sustainability through a global network of community platforms.
